What age is Tinkernauts for?
Our courses are for kids aged 6-14. We have courses that will challenge kids across the 6-14 year spectrum. We have modules for the experienced tinkerer as well.
When can I join Tinkernauts?
Please follow our Instagram page and our website to keep track of the latest and greatest. We update our schedule regularly.
Can you describe the activities at Tinkernauts?
Our course is designed for kids aged 6-14. It is structured as 12 concepts that are set up in a sequential manner to enable kids to move to more advanced tinkering projects as they do more sessions.
Each concept is taught in 4 sessions in a hands-on way by leveraging 3 types of teaching methods (modules):
o Module 1: Techniques
o Module 2: Let`s Break
o Module 3: Let`s Make
It's all grounded in best practices, so your child has fun while they learn and grow.
Our concepts cover a variety of topics such as, Circuits, Automotive, Computers, Solar power etc. Please refer to our courses section for more detail.
What supplies will we need?
All supplies will be provided by Tinkernauts. Just bring your imagination.
Can I sign up for a trial class?
Absolutely, we offer trial classes. You can join one of our existing sessions. Call us or email us to schedule your trial session. Session is priced at Rs 1600/-.
Are the trial classes free?
Trial classes are chargeable at Rs.1600/- which will be adjusted towards the course fees if you sign up.

What are the course timings, and duration?
We typically conduct a morning batch and an afternoon batch. We will publish our schedule on the site as well as on Instagram.
Duration is 90 minutes.
What are the packages you offer & pricing?
We currently offer monthly package comprising of 3 sessions
o The monthly package Rs.4800/-
We also have a holiday package the details of which would be announced closer to the start.
Can I cancel and will I be issued a refund?
If you are unable to make it to the session, we will be unable to make a refund, that said we will do our best to offer you a makeup session in the future subject to availability of a batch that is also learning the same concept.
If for any reason the organizer cancels the session, then we will offer you either a refund or a makeup class.
Can I choose the sessions I want to attend?
You can choose when you want to enroll you child however i.e., month, we are not at a place yet where we can pick and choose sessions. Since our modules are a curated, we are unable to customize them at this stage.
Do you conduct offsite classes in apartments?
Certainly, open to conduct classes at a place of your choosing so long as you have a minimum of 4-5 kids that are willing to take the class.
Is there an intermediate and advanced batch?
Yes we have modules for more experienced tinkerers.
Will my kids be safe using tools & equipment?
Our entire purpose at tinkernauts is to teach kids the safe and effective use of tools. ALL kids will wear eye protection and when handling heavy equipment will also wear work gloves. In addition, we will supervise the kids closely to ensure that they are safe. That is why our batch sizes are small.
Can I pay by the session?
Currently we offer only the monthly packages. You can opt for a trial class if required.
Do I get to take home my creations?
Absolutely, for all the maker sessions (unless we mention otherwise), you get to take home and show off your creations and even refine it further.

What are the kits made of?
The kits are predominantly made of 3D printed PLA. This is a non-toxic bio-degradable plastic. There are other components as well which could be rubber, foam, metal etc.
What age group are the kits for?
The kits are for ages 6 and upward. We have categorized each kit into "Recommended age group" on our SHOP page so its easy to pick the right kit.
How are these different from other STEM Kits?
All are completely 3D printed here in Bangalore, our focus is fun while learning, where we aspire for our kits to be fun as well as informative (through our YouTube video content) at the same time.
Is there a bulk order discount?
Email or call us and we will be happy to discuss it further.
Can I order spares?
Yes, if you break a part of misplace it you can order spares FREE (you pay for shipping) on our website.
Are the kits safe to use?
Yes, all our kits are 3D printed using non toxic plastic. Parts have been rounded to remove any sharp edges. Please keep them away from pets and young children and follow the safety guidelines in the instructions.
What if something doesn't work?
First watch our YouTube trouble shooting guides that can be found by scanning the QR code behind the box. If that doesn't solve your issue email us or call us. If it's a manufacturing issue we will replace or ship you a new kit free of charge or send you a spare part.
Is a mobile device required ?
This is not a must. We have included instruction manuals in the box however we request the kids to watch the YouTube content as well which will explain the concepts and the inner workings of the kit.
How long does a kit take to assemble?
Typically, an hour to ninety minutes.
How do I get the certificate?
Complete all 12 kits and send us pictures of all the 12 kits assembled. We will then send you your Certificate of Achievement.
How fast can you ship the kit?
We typically ship the product within 2 business days.
What accessories do you offer?
We have our tinker toolbox which is a great way to get your kids doing more around the home with real tools. You can also order consumables such as glue sticks, discs for the Spinshot, propellers for the Aeroblast from our site.
